Roger L. Koertner

Roger Koertner was employed by the Pathfinder Company as a Farm Manager, Real Estate Appraiser and Broker in January of 1988. He annually manages between 40 to 60 farm properties for absentee landowners and trusts. His responsibilities also include conducting farm real estate appraisals and sales for clients. In 2005 Roger was promoted to his current position as General Manager for the Pathfinder Company Farm Management department.

Roger grew up on a diversified grain and livestock farm in south central Nebraska. He began his career in real estate in 1981 as a sales associate and auctioneer in Hastings, NE. In 1984 he returned to college at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness. A graduate of the Reisch Worldwide College of Auctioneering, Roger specializes in conducting farm real estate auctions for the Pathfinder Company. His 25 years of real estate experience provides common sense advice when it comes to marketing your farm real estate assets.

Roger formerly served as a director for the Lower Platte North Natural Resource District (LPNNRD) and is still actively working to protect and preserve the water rights of all landowners and water users in the district. Conservation and land stewardship are priority issues dear to his heart, as is working with youth in his church and through 4-H Shooting Sports and the Nebraska Hunter Education programs.

Ron Schultz

Ron Schultz started his farm management career at the Pathfinder Company in 1972. He has seen, followed, and implemented many changes in agriculture during that time. A crop/livestock farm in northwest Iowa where he grew up established an honest, common sense, hard work ethic that he applies to farms he manages today.

After graduating from the University of Nebraska College of Agriculture with a Bachelor of Science degree in agronomy, he spent three years working for the local Soil Conservation District. That experience provided valuable knowledge for soils, native grasses, and conservation.

Ron’s love of the land and farming has led him to purchase farmland of his own. Also helping his brother plant and harvest on the home farm in Iowa gives him a direct feel for the land.

Church and community service are also part of his life. Ron has served on the Fremont 4-H Fair board for over 30 years. He is also on the Greater Fremont Development Council in promoting Fremont and inviting new industry.

Ron says, “Each farm and landowner are unique, thus, I manage a farm like it is my own with the owner’s goals and objectives in mind”.
